The felt and leather wrap has held up way better than the cheap braided ones I used before, even after a few weeks of daily bite work. It's firm enough for clean targeting but still gives a little on the outs, which my dog seems to prefer.

The felt and leather covering feels much sturdier than the cheap fabric on my old stick, and the flexible core holds up to repeated hard bites without losing its shape. I was worried it'd be too stiff, but it has just the right give for protection work.

The flexible plastic core gives just enough give that my dog doesn’t flinch on impact, yet it still holds its shape for precise target work. Felt and leather layers have taken some serious abuse during our weekly sessions without shredding. Glad I finally upgraded from a plain PVC pipe.
